MHMA Maktab provides children the opportunity to learn proper Qur’anic recitation, obtain a comprehensive Islamic education, and get the necessary training to become familiar with Islamic norms and values (Tarbiayyah).
Curriculum:
- Quran with Tajweed: Memorization of last ten surahs
- Du’aas: Memorizing 30 du’aas with their translations
- Fiqh: Learning the laws regarding wudhu, ghusl, salaah, and other daily ibadaat
- Islamic History: Learning about the lives of the Sahaba and Prophet’s
The classes will be offered at MH Unity Center for boys and girls. Classes are 1.5 hour daily, four days a week, Monday through Thursday. The focus of the first 45 minutes of the class is on the recitation of the Holy Quran, and the direction of the last 30 minutes is on basic Islamic teachings such as wudhu, prayer, duas, fiqh, seerah, and more. Along with actual instruction, Maktab teachers engage and motivate the students to build positive relationships with the masjid, community, and Islam.
